TAURON Ciepło Awarded ISO 50001 Certification. The Company Focuses on Efficient Energy Management
TAURON Ciepło has received ISO 50001 certification, confirming its commitment to international standards for efficient energy management.
TAURON Ciepło has received ISO 50001 certification, confirming that the company meets international standards for energy management. Implemented after more than two years of work, the Energy Management System is designed to help the company monitor energy consumption more effectively, improve energy efficiency, and consistently reduce the environmental impact of its operations.
TAURON Ciepło received the ISO 50001 certificate following more than two years of work on implementing an Energy Management System across the company.
The process began in December 2023 and included, among other activities, an analysis of operational processes, the development of procedures, the setting of energy objectives, and the creation of a system for monitoring energy consumption. In July 2026, TAURON Ciepło successfully completed a five-day certification audit.
The newly implemented system is expected to help the company monitor and control energy consumption more effectively, improve energy efficiency, and identify areas requiring further improvements. Employees from various areas of the company’s operations were involved in the project.
Obtaining the certificate does not mark the end of TAURON Ciepło’s efforts to improve energy efficiency. The company will undergo regular audits, while the Energy Management System will continue to be developed and adapted to new objectives and requirements.
ISO 50001 is an international standard designed to support organisations in managing energy more efficiently, reducing energy consumption, and minimising the environmental impact of their operations.
