Share

How should hydrogen networks and storage facilities be designed and sited in Poland? Answers to these questions are provided in the latest analysis prepared by the Oil and Gas Institute – National Research Institute.

The publication is a comprehensive study on the development of hydrogen infrastructure in Poland. It contains recommendations on technical requirements, safety rules, siting and future regulations for hydrogen networks, pipelines and storage facilities.

The analysis discusses, amongst other things, the technical requirements for hydrogen networks and pipelines, the principles of infrastructure design and siting, and requirements concerning materials, safety and hazard zones. Solutions relating to hydrogen storage – both above-ground and underground – also form an important part of the study.

The report also includes an analysis of national and EU legislation, international experience and proposals for legislative changes that could support the development of the hydrogen economy in Poland. As a result, the publication can serve as an important source of knowledge for public authorities, network operators, investors, designers and all stakeholders interested in the development of the hydrogen market.
