Enea Operator invests in network reliability – a PLN 120 million project is launched
Enea Operator has launched a new stage of investment in power infrastructure – the project, worth over PLN 120 million, aims to modernise and expand the 110 kV high-voltage line in north-western Poland.
In total, nearly 75 km of power lines will be modernised and built, equipped with cables adapted to higher loads and operating temperatures, as well as modern fibre optic routes, which will enable remote monitoring and improve the operational flexibility of the network. The reconstruction and construction of new sections of the 110 kV line will include, among others, the following connections: Bydgoszcz Zachód - Jachcice, Pakość - Pątnów, Pakość - Janikowo - Pątnów and Przechowo - Żur.
Thanks to this investment, the network will gain greater resilience, stability and reliability. The modernisation will enable the connection of new customers, as well as renewable energy sources (RES) and energy storage facilities. As a result, the flexibility of the system will increase, which is crucial in view of the growing role of RES and dynamic energy demand.
As the company emphasises, this is another step towards adapting the power grid to the challenges of the energy transition and the changing energy market.
